In this essay, Peter Singer, a philosopher and ethicist  from Princeton University, makes an evaluative argument using ethical criteria by considering the idea of “effective altruism” as her evaluates two examples of donations to educational institutions: Michael Bloomberg’s donations to Johns Hopkins University and Henry Rowan’s donations to Rowan University (then Glassboro State College).
